Hello !
Get mine out in March

I can’t wait

Don’t stress too much

Hi. I survived the surgery. I was too terrified. Surgery is a breeze you won’t feel a thing . Before surgery you can ask for a sedative if you are feeling sick. You will wake up in pain I’m NOT going to lie. you will have a recovery nurse to help you with pain and anxiety. A few hours later you go home to recover. That’s it. You will be fine. God Bless.

i had surgery last may 2018 and i am doing great.
yes u have to stay positive and keep in mind there will be pain and must rest and take things very slow for awhile.
good luck !!

had mine out Dec 2018. first couple weeks were rough.take your pain med.if you’re hurting.I also had anxiety but now I can eat pretty much anything I do take an enzyme pill before my meals.Dont lift anything heavy for first month. We are in middle of moving now but im having no problems lifting things now.And you will be drained of energy for alittle bit but it gets better as the days go on.good luck, you’ll be fine.:+1:

had mine out May 2018. I also was TERRIFIED, surgery ( my 1st) was a breeze, my pain was minimal, felt like I did too many situps, but I did take pain meds for the first 24 hours, I was back to work in a week, planted my garden, and back to my cleaning jobs, within 2 weeks. I’ve never felt better (mostly). Best of luck!! biggest tip… breathe deep, relax…it’s out of your hands!!

Don’t worry. It will be fine. You’ll probably have to watch your diet. I feel fine now after 8months. You’ll lose weight but that’s usually good. Just take exercise, walk and get out in the fresh air. Best wishes.

I had mine out 10 weeks ago, best thing I ever did.
I was out of hospital same day, out and about after a few days.
After a week I was back eating whatever I want, including takeaways!
I would do it all over again.
Good luck

hi i had mine out july 2018. Had a little complication but was out the same day. didnt have too much pain but i would say keep ahead of pain with regular doses of pain relief. you will get incredibly tired for a couple of weeks so rest as you need it. i went to a wedding exactly 1 week later and coped ok. go slowly on the food eating small amounts at first and build up introducing dairy. you might get loose bowel movements at first but will improve. im lucky i can now eat most foods without any reaction. your tummy will be massive for a while but goes down. its a fairly simple everyday op but still pretty major after all its still an organ being removed! it was the first time i has ever had a general anasthetic so i too was pretty nervous so know how you feel but it really was fine. im about to have a hip replacement so thats another story! good luck and rest!

hi ! had my pre op yesterday i am in England ! and im in pain every day under both ribs feeling nauseas, no energy fed up now ! lost loads of weight cannot eat! skin scaling too and very itchy ,lets see if i feel any better getting this organ out ! i see some people are some people not .Yes scared hate hospital.:raised_fist::fairy:

Hiya..yes same as! I hope they get you into surgery soon? Did they give you any idea (s) regarding when they’d be doing your procedure? Hope yours is soon..off to get my pre- op in an hour XX :black_circle:

Thank you for your kindness and support..Knowing what you have been through & come out OK, has made me realise that it will be fine! Off to get pre- op today..I wish you luck with the hip replacement surgery

That’s wonderful news honey! Am now looking forward to my operation..New lease ! Cheers for the positive feedback :joy:

Cheers for the positive feedback :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thank you for the positive feedback :black_circle:All the best

I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago due to gallstones.
Just day surgery nothing to worry about honestly.
You will be a bit sore for a few days afterwards.
You will also have to be a bit careful what you eat. Not too much fatty food.
You will feel better afterwards just something you have to go through at the moment.
It will be well worth it.
Take care and keep in touch
Sarah
