Hello,
I am 16 year old boy and had some back pains in the past few years. I did an X-ray about 2 years ago and the top of the spine was kind of slanted. Anyways, a few days ago (3 or so) my lower back started paining. I thought it was just an effect from the gym but it was kind of more painful but I don't know, I have been going to gym for about a month only. I then decided to check it out. The doctor then told me it was just the muscle and it's probably because of a wrong posture in the gym but I insisted on an X-Ray anyways. He checked the X-Ray and told me all was well in the lower spine but the upper spine is slightly slanted and can be improved by good posture, nothing too serious.
I got a softcopy of the X-Ray and thought I might get a second opinion.
Thanks in advance,
Ahmad

Go to a orthopedic doctor for this condition, which I am guessing is scoliosis. PMR typically hits people over the age of 50, on the average.
There are no doctors on these sites Ahmad, just other patients who don't have the skills to assess your query.
Oh alrigtht. My bad. Thanks
No ahmad, you are not bad, just concerned.....but yes, do ask for another opinion from another Qualified Doctor....and ask for a referral to see an Orthopaedic Specialist....it may only be a slight Scoliosis...which yes can be corrected by posture...but if the "slant" is worse, then it may need something else...but your main complaint this time is your lower back.......even a Physio can read x-rays...why not try going to see a physio, and they can also work on your back, at same time???.....................Bron
Let me start by saying I apologize if I offend you.... But I believe it is seriously inappropriately and possibly dangerous to suggest he has scoliosis... He is obviously concerned and it would be in his best interest to suggest he talk this over with a physician.
as I have suggested before ...we treat the patient and not the x-Rays.
I agree with Eileen.
