hi Mark from Maryland here this site has been very helpful, thought i would share my story. Hopfully this will benefit some one.. cant really remember when i started taking flowmax it has helped through the years but time came for something more in december 2019 had all the tests and with a 70 gm prostate was just on the edge for a successful procedure under a general anesthesia the doc put in 6 clips, woke up with a cath with instructions to remove the following morning. the remainder of the day and night suffered through crushing spasms. Begged the wife to remove it at 3:30 am by 10:00 am could not pee at all. rushed to the er. first tried to clear the clots with a new regular cath, did not work and needed the larger on. they really had to work it and finally cleared some major clots and was sent home with instructions to remove in 2 more days. finally took it out and was peeing slow weak stream but at least working. in another 2 days was advised to take azo the perridiim drug for urinary track infections. took one dose and all of a sudden no pee, back to the Er for the second time. cath back in this time for 3 more days. just a nightmare. must of been some sort of allergic reaction over the next few months things were improving. month 3 after this adventure i started major dribble and it would take me 10 seconds just to start the stream. was also back to getting up several times at night. just a constant state of exhaustion part 2 June 2020, back to the doc same tests, the cystoscope immedeatly saw a stricture that was causing the problem. doc said simple procedure and while up there see if any additional clips are needed. today was the day. says he fixed the stricture and also put in an additional 5 clips. i now have a total of 11 clips on board and home with a cath to be removed monday. the doc said not much bleeding this time. cant wait to get this cath out, still spasms but have a pill that is making it a little better. keeping my fingers crossed that once this cath comes out it will be the last of it and i get my stream back thanks for reading, mark
