tomorrow I've got an appointment with my primary doc. I'm trying to get a referral to a psychiatrist, but it's going to take longer then I expected my primary is very conservative, but I'm wondering if any of you have advice as to how I should go about asking him for a script for valium till I can see the new doc!....I've been suffering miserably for over a month with acute anxiety....my. plate's very full right now with personal issues, financial issues, a flight I've got to take in 2 weeks, cataract surgery in 5da AND my regular ole Anxiety!!! I'm in desperate need of his help but SO afraid he won't do it any suggestions??
just tell him your anxiety is interfering with your everyday life! that you are scared and panic on a daily basis and need help!
I agree. Try to tell him you have a lot going on and need some help. How come you need a referral? Howcome you can’t find one and schedule with one?

I know it sounds so easy to just explain and ask him for a script, but as I said, he’s conservative and (LOL) this is just ONE more thing anxiety producing…ughhhh…I HATE being at the “mercy” of doctors!
I hate insurance companies. Its ridiculous that you need a referral for that. I hear you on the conservative side. What about sending him an email or something like that? If not I know you have a lot of anxiety over this but at the same time you have to advocate for yourself in order to feel better. It will be extremely hard but you need to feel better.
