I am currently seeking a new Gastro. There is so much new data about how food can affect inflammation, and alternative medicine, I want a doctor who has training and experience in both Western and Eastern approaches. I am on so much medication and still not 100% out of remission. My doctor wants to add another "life time" drug that has really bad side effects. How can I find the best of the best doctor? Thanks in advance.
Hi Pamela....my colitis started in 2013 while I was living in Mansfield Tx....I went to four different doctors an couldn't get relief....I found a specialist in New Orleans at the university an been fine every since.....I can give you the number of u like.....but look for a specialist instead of a gastro dr....I pray this helps you like it did me....
This may sound ignorant, but how to I find a specialist. I am not sure where to begin. Key word search? Google? Happy that you found relief...
