self help group in switzerland

Hi,

I'tve just joined a german speaking selfhelp group in switzerland that is open for members living in Germany and austria. They have a link to a website that procuces female urination systems that help to inhibit the urine coming in contact with the labia, something that often causes the burning sensation. I've just orderd one and if anyone needs details please contact me directly as we can't advertise things on the forum.

They are having their first members meeting on the 3.5 withdiscussions and lectures from Doctors in Switzerland who specialise in LS. I'll report what of interset comes out of it.

There standard treatment is cortisone followed by protopic an antiinflammatory for some monthson a daily basis followed by twice a week.

Research is being trialed on pre menopausl women with progesterone and some minimal oestrogen creams, will report when something is published. Its true that it is a skin disease and ultimatley under the Dermatolgy but there in some countries gynacologists who seem to be trying to treat it as well. Fatty creams are also recommended on a daily basis to minimise scarrng. I think everyone has their own favourite from emu to sesame to deumuvan or even hanf oil. We all seem to react differently so I thnk experimenting is important.

well that's it for now, we are definitly a larger group than the statistics portray!

Marie

Thanks, Marie! You're on the front lines for us. Just seeing you write that fatty creams minimise scarring is so encouraging.

Thanks Marie! Please do keep us posted.

Hello, Marie.  I would appreciate where I can get more or detailed info on successful treatment of LS either by protopic and/or natural remedies. It will also be helpful to have names of doctors you trust on this issue, preferably in German or Italian part of Switzerland but French part will be okay too.

In addition to LS, recently,  I have itchy rashes showing up on my legs and arms.  I am told that it could be related to the central nervous system.    What has worked for you?  Thanks so much.

Many years ago, under the guidance of an excellent dermertologist elsewhere, I successfully used "Aldara", also an immunomodulator for squamous cells in situ (breast).  It was quite painful but it was worth it because it arrested the growth of those invasive cells.  I will be most grateful about any info on Protopic and a knowledgeable doctor to nurse and hopefully remove LS condition.
