Hello, I'm 23 and suffer with GAD, Panic Disorder and Mild depression. I struggle with Health Anxiety alot, (heart etc)
Now recently I keep seeing in the news young people dying from Sepsis and it's really triggering my anxiety.. to the point of where I'm waking up hot with a racing heart and I end up calling 999 because I feel like my heart is going to stop on me, I read that these young people have the flu and it turns into Sepsis very quickly. I've just got over an ear infection without antibiotics and I went the walk in centre, my temp was fine and so was my ear.. today I was suppose to have my impacted wisdom teeth out but I couldn't due to not being able have LA today.. so now I'm riddled with worry about Sepsis, my face keeps going hot and my throat feels scratchy..
why am I so afraid of this

This flu is now leveling off in the UK.If severe it can effect the lungs, however you are ok. If you are concerned you can purchase a flu injection in many chemists. The Chemist in Tesco Chemist can give the injection.
i had my injection in October and so far not had a sniffle. So I would advise if you are concerned get your injection.
You mention you had a Wisdom tooth removed, a antibiotic peg would have been slipped into the jaw to stop biological infections, although antibiotics would not be any good for flu
You can get a medication called Tamaflu, that can help clear a flu, you could try that if you have flu
Stop worrying you will be ok, it will take a few days to recover from your extraction. Give it a couple of days to allow the extraction site to seal then you can carefully wash your mouth out with a saline mixture. Has your Dentist given you anything to wash out your mouth etc ??.

Sorry I haven't had my wisdom teeth out. But I'm still worried about sepsis

All I can advise is if you are worried regards flu, go for the injection. I do not know how old you are. If a pensioner or disabled the flu injection can be free.
Regards Sepsis, I cannot see any danger, You need to move on.
Do you have an infection, if not stop worrying
