About 10 weeks ago I was dx with copd after suffering breathlessness, 78% so just gone out of mild into moderate. I was prescibed ventolin & told if I was using it every day to come back...which I did, the prescibed breezhaler, a preventer, & told to come back if I was still having to use ventolin...which I did lol this morning & then prescibed serevent 2 puffs x twice a day & continue with breezhaler & ventolin when & if required.......on reading the leaflet for serevent it says not to use if taking atenolol, which I do for my blood pressure ( for the past 25 years in fact), so I daren't take it! Going to pharmacist in the morning to ask his advice. Does anyone on here take Serevent & atenolol.....blimey I've just gone from mild to moderate, wouldn't think it would be this hard to control (rolls eyes)The breezhaler has helped with the breathlessness on exhertion, And I do exercise as much as possible(lost my dad to copd), I can do 10k each day on my exercise bike, it's the congestion at rest that get's me....waffling, sorry, Question is : are you on serevent and atenolol , or any beta- blocker
How do I ask a question?

Hi kayc. ..I am like you ...newly dx'd as well and my LF is 83% so at the end if stage 1. My main symptom is shortness if breath all the time...even brushing teeth and doing dishes. ...and I'm now on Advair for the last month which is helping a lot. Advair is both a corticosteroid and a bronchodilator.
