Sertraline 50mg and Vitamin D replacement

Hello All,

I hope we are all doing well in our battles with what ever difficulties we face. I'm just after some advise really, a few people have suggested that i could have a lack of vitamin D in my system, which could be very possible as my working conditions involve me working in a basement for 10 hours a day. Has anybody used a vitamin replacement such as this ? and if so, what effects did you notice. many thanks for any advise given.

Hi Richard.....being in a basement ten hours a day will sap all your mood. Vit D is really good for us, so do get out in sunshine as much as you can.  It's fine to take Vit D tablets....I take 3000iu.  You may also take Vit B complex.....50mg of each.  Some people get relief from a light box which emulates sunshine

Thanks Iris..... that was my nans name too. I thought it would be ok, always good to get info from others who have tried it. I tried a herbal tablet before called Kalms and that had a bad reaction with sertraline.

Yes, I think and good multi vitamin and mineral supplement would be a good idea, and try to get a bit more natural light if you can at break time.

Thanks for that. Yeah I should do more to get out during breaks. Only time I see daylight is weekend or on the way to and from the workplace. And you never know, maybe it will reduce my anxiety and improve my moods. Cheers.
