Morning all. I have been on sertraline since January and everything seems to be going ok. One thing I have noticed is that my ovulation and menstrual symptoms have increased, mainly due to bloating and water retention, has anyone else found this?
I had spotting between periods on 25mg and now getting VERY light periods on 50mg. I also feel more bloated even though I’ve lost weight.
Hello Kerry! I no longer take sertraline but I found that it made me super bloated on my period and my period was always late but would stop and start for about two weeks which was a bit unpredictable at times! X

yes! I have been on it only for two months, but last month's the premenstrual symptoms were severe. Last month the bloating was almost painful and I had some spotting about a week before the period. This month I will see but the PMS anxiety symptoms have been really heightened in the last couple of days to a point I felt completely desperate from the emotional pain. Still too early for me to tell, but yes, I have noticed some changes.

Oh thank you for this info Belle! I am only two months on Sertraline and last month I had exactly this - period starting and stopping over two weeks time. I found it strange but now I can see it can be from Sertraline.
My hormones were all over the shop as well just before and during my period unfortunately! I got to the point where I was just so poorly mentally, that’s why I had to stop taking sertraline sadly. I hope it works for you darling xx
