Sertraline - Consultant led during pregnancy?

Hi everyone, I'm taking Sertraline for anxiety, I'm on 100mg and have been taking it for 6 months. I'm now 12wks pregnant and my GP said it is one of the safer medications to take so I'm carrying on with it throughout my pregnancy.

I had a booking appointment with the midwife a few weeks ago and because I'm taking Sertraline she said I will most likely be consultant led.

Anyone else here consultant led through their pregnancy? What should I expect? How many appointments and what do they entail? Do I get more scans? When did you see your consultant for the first time?

Oh and one last question if anyone can help is, I know we are entitled to paid time off for maternity appointments when we are working but does this cover consultants appointments too?

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was consultant lead an i saw him every month i had scans every 2 weeks but not because of the meds i was on. He will prob see u at ur first scan an work out a plan from there u may not need to c him he may refer u back to com mw

Thanks, I've got my scan tomorrow but no mention of seeing a consultant tomorrow. I'll have a chat with the midwife after my scan.
