Sertraline day two

hi I'm on day two of thanking 50 mg sertraline and I feel really anxious is this normal felt great when I got up but feel bad now new tablet due at 10 pm I also thke propranolol but these aren't working today any advice ? Xxxxx Jo jo

Propranolol just lowers your heart rate as it's a beta blocker, it won't remove your anxiety. What you're feeling is normal smile Do you have any hobbies to take your mind off things? Maybe a relaxing bath could help until your next dose xxx

Thanks becktoria it's just annoying as I haven't felt like this for a while seems sertraline has started it up again beginning to wonder if I should of not started them xxx

It's hard to know if you should or shouldn't take them but you are doing something positive to overcome your problems. It's frustrating waiting for them to stabilise your mood. In my opinion it's good you are taking Sertraline, it's brave of you to get help and try to turn things around for yourself xxx

Propranolol is one I used to take for persistent migraine.  I didn't take it for too long so cannot comment.

I think you should continue with the Sertraline for a while longer as doctors like you to take it for at least 9-10 days as the effects tend tokick in about that time.

You felt good this morning so stay positive.  Feeling good even for an hour is a positive!

Thank you for your support I will keep at them hopefully turn out well I will keep you posted xxxx

We're hear for you smile xxx

Your body is getting used to the Sertraline, and what you are feeling  is normal

Thanks Anne anxiety up today but guess that's normal if you don't mind me asking do you take sertraline if so how long before you start to feel normal again well as normal as you can when you have this awfull illness xxx

Yes I have taken Sertraine.  All antidepressants take a few weeks to get into your system.  Could be up to 6 weeks.  Doctor should have told you that.  May take less, but I think most people will say a few weeks before you feel any lessening of your depression.

Ok thanks Anne

Keep in touch and let me know ho you are getting on.  Everyone here very supportive.  Take care and hope you feel better soon.
