Hi I've just come off gabapentin severe withdrawal and doc just changed me from 10mg citalaprm every other day to 50 mg sertraline every day and 5mg Valium to help. Cant decide if horrible sick anxiety feeling is withdrawal or symptoms off new tablets can't eat and feel so ill anyone else had similar probs can't go to work and I don't want to be at home.

I have been on Pregabalin (i believe it's the new type drug of Gabapentin) for well over 5 months now.I thought my pregabalin was causing a problem with numbness in my hand and so i stopped taking them.I have to say i didn't have any withdrawal symptoms with pregab and as i found out my numb fingers was prob to do with banging my funny bone a few days earlier i went back on them.
Gabapentin does cause withdrawal symptoms if it is stopped suddenly but it does depend on how long a person has been taking it.
Sorry not replied quicker but i don't get that much time these days.
I take pregabalin for neuropathic pain (150mg x 3 times a day) and it does work somewhat, but i find each tablet has a very short life span.I now take B12 complex which has magneseium,selenium and others and so far works ok for me along side the pregab.

I know when I was put on my meds lexapro I was sick for 5 months it was the worst time in my life. I didn't think I'd make it. But I did. Been 5 years since I've had and anxiety attack and for some reason I'm doing it again. I'm sorry your sick.
