I was prescribed 50mg of sertraline after presenting my doctor with anxiety and depression. Since then, I have difficulty concentrating, sleep a lot during the day and generally feel in a 'chemical fog' that others describe on this forum.
With Dr's consent I increased the dose to 75mg after a friend said it had helped her. The original feelings of worthlessness and sadness that led me to seek help have not disappeared, but I don't feel like this medicine is doing its job.
Visited my doctor today and asked to establish a planned reduction to eventually stopping the SSRI. Instead, she suggested I should increase the dose to 100mg.
I'd appreciate any experience people have of stopping meds too soon or thoughts on increasing the dose instead.
Et just personally speaking I would go with the increase. U know what it's like with no meds maybe it's just getting the dosage right?
I'm going on 7 weeks of 100mgs of Zoloft. I also so take ativan. But, I'm still kind of anxious. Wondering if I should go up

I am coming off them, terrible medication. Made me lose my mind, only been on them 4 weeks, so told I could go cold turkey, I'll let u know how I get on but can't be worse than the medication side effects.
How long have u been on them
Should have said, I've been taking Sertraline for 6 months now.
I agree with above u know wat its like without meds either go up or switch meds
Thanks for your thoughts, they helped. I've decided I cannot stop the Sertraline until I put some non pharmceutical measures in place - gonna get my running shoes for starters.
