Sertraline - stopping & side effects?

OK a few weeks ago my anxiety got so bad I felt I was losing control so asked my Gp for some help. He gave me sertraline which I managed on for 8 days before stopping. I know you're not supposed to just stop but the side effects were vile and I was on my own with 3 children during half term. I was losing weight fast, not eating, nauseous and being sick, tense neck so could hardly move it, aches and pains, headaches, dizziness and felt awful.

I've now been off sertraline for 14 days but do feel nauseous and dizzy at times and have headaches. I didn't really give the drug long enough to take effect but could the things I'm experiencing now be something to do with stopping sertraline? I'm feeling 95% better in terms of anxiety, been having CBT which is amazing and seeing a chiropractor just need these niggly things to go away now.

Thanks to anyone who got through my rambling.

It could well be the effects of the Sertraline, my partner is on it at the moment and the side effects are pretty tough, as the CBT seems to be working I would give it a few more days and see if the symptoms ease off, otherwise tell your GP

Small children are very tiring, you are doing the right thing, relax when you can and the CBT will be good. I had 4 boys and survived!

Thank you
