Hi all. I'm new to the area where I live so obviously I'm new to the doctors surgery. I haven't been at all well, and a doctor I had a appoitment with recentely ( who I have recentely found out he's probably one of the worst doctors in the surgery very rude and I'll mannered) he put me on Sertraline with no explanation at all . I just explained some symptoms to him he quickly wrote me a perscription and just said these should help if not resume back to see some other doctor!!!! End off. He was so rude I just took the perscription and left the room!!. Well anyway just lateley after taking this tablet probably half an hour after taking it I start to feel sick? I have been ok but for the last week or two so recentely started is this some kind of side effect? Is my dose need to b upped to 100?does anyone know. I'm abit afraid of rebooking another appoitment incase I get this horrid man again, .
I would check the leaflet that comes with the medication they always have the list of common and uncommon side effects, if you havent got it type in to the NHS site.
I would also call the reception of your surgery and get an appointment with another doctor. I hate doctors who do this i suffered with tonsilities as soon as i said i was constantly tierd he put me on Sertaline. I later ended up in a horrible state.
Thanks Lucy, it's always very daunting when u first trying anything new. I have been on Sertraline for 5 weeks in total it's just these past 2weeks I have started to feel sick. I'm thinking now it's to do with my acid reflux? Anyway I have managed to get an appoitment tom with a doctor. I'm so hopeing some light gets shred here? And a solution is found?.
sounds positive.. The more you in there and tell them how you feel the more likely they are to help and take you seriously good luck tomorrow ( not that you need it )
