hi o just started Zoloft 10 days ago and having the same side effects its like a mini seizer and zapping to my brain also numbness in my feet and hands until rub it off. i started this for panic attacks but feel like its giving me anxiety right now. should i wait put the storm and continue taking it?
me too what did you end up doing? im on day ten and scared to take the next pill
Hey I know this is awhile back, but I have only recently starting to become concerned about taking Sertraline, I'm now on a 100mg don't like the headaches or my arms go jumpy, Actually just woke up with the same awful headache and down my neck, thinking I should come down to 50mg and would love to stop taking them but it's for my anxiety but I'm now always kinda feeling nervous. I'm on them a good while started at 25mg then 50mg then 150mg at one point I said no way .Don't feel like 'me' at the moment and often get forgetful or can't think what I was going to say .
Hi! i know its been a while but i wanted to ask you if the headaches and other symptoms went away? I've been taking Sertraline for over 6 weeks (more than 3 weeks on 100mg) and last 2 weeks its a nightmare, especially last week. Weird headaches since the morning, mostly my forehead area and temples, throbbing in my neck, severe nausea and in general upset stomach. My doc said to decrease the dose to 75mg and check how i feel but also recommended to see GP just in case.. I'm wondering if sertraline really could cause such symptoms after a few weeks. i used to take Paroxetine but never experienced these headaches or severe nausea :( Anyone else maybe went through something similar?
Morning Monica. How are you feeling in general now with the anxiety and with the headaches now ? Im on my 4th week of sertraline two weeks at 50mg and 2 weeks ago was upped to a 100mg. still not feeling any better in relation to the awful anxiety and terrible headaches.
I have that fullness feeling in my ears im on week 4 the headaches have come back its really scary
This is what I'm experiencing now I've been on sertraline for almost two months now i started off on 25mg and my doctor put me on 50mg Im not sure if my body cant tolerate this dosage amount
Hey, I've spoken to several people who have tried Sertralin and spoken to healthcare staff, but they didn't recognize the symptoms of severe morning headaches, throbbing headaches, especially on the left side of the neck and head and goes all the way to the forehead, jaw feels stiff and sore, probably because of anxiety during the night. And tremors in my left hand in the mornings. Glad I found this thread, just gonna hang on and give it more time.
Like many, glad i found this forum. I started on 50mg and only had diarrhoea for the first week as a side effect. Got very fast results for my anxiety/depression. Then after 3 months or so, it was like it just stopped working for me. I was increased to 100mg and have had really weird side effects since (been about 3 weeks), pressure in the head on and off, floaty dizziness especially when walking, headaches while sleeping which quickly go after waking, and headaches regularly on an evening. Thing is its now helping with my mental health issues but seem to be stuck with all these other weird side effects. i will update after another 3 weeks. Going to try and troop on until the expected side effect transition time of 6 weeks. One thing i have found is that alcohol in excess seems to trigger migraines with this med. I took Citalopram previously and didn't have any side effects or issues with a few beers.
did your headaches go away its only day 4 for me and my headache is so bad comes on at nights tho

Hi sara. it all came good in the end, side effects faded away towards week 7. just got to stick with it unfortunately. i got through a lot of paracetamol in that month and a half. Good luck.
Hi! I just came across your comment. I am having the exact same thing. Burning sensations in my scalp. Did this go away for you? Currently week 4 of Sertraline, but only day 3 of 100mg (was on 50mg before)

Hi, iv been on sertraline 50mg since 12th Jan then on thursday i was increased to 100mg since then i have had an awful pain in the left side of my head and pains down my right arm. having health anxiety really is not helping. did any of you experience this?

Know this is an old post but I’ve been intrigued by how many people are experiencing how I’m feeling! I’m so glad I came across this post as my current feelings of pressure in head, particularly left side temple, brain fog, disorientated feelings, sensitivity to sound and light with the headache are quite frightening. I’ve been on sertraline for 18 months, started at 50 then upped to 100 then 150, tried weaning myself down to 100, started feeling this weird way so upped to 150 again. It’s a very frightening and lonely feeling. You honestly think the worst I hope to god this eased in time like it has for some of you.
