Sertraline/Zoloft

Hi, I'm 16 years old and have recently started Zoloft, while decreasing Luvox. On January 26th I started 25 mg of Zoloft and decreased my Luvox by 25mg. I was on this for a week. My legs felt weak, and ached but it was tolerable to a point. About half way through the week I started having bad panic attacks and bad derealization. On Friday February 2nd I increased the Zoloft to 50 mg and lowered the Luvox by 50mg as well. The next day I felt great, except for the evening I had such bad derealization it affected my vision. Sunday came and I was going through withdrawal from Luvox. My OCD was through the roof. I went back on the original dose of Luvox and stopped Zoloft. The next day I was extremely panicky, anxious, and couldn't stop thinking. I went to my psychiatrist and she told me to stay on the normal dose of Luvox, and continue with 50 mg of Zoloft. Today my legs feel numb, and I feel really out of it. I'm terrified to walk as I think I'll collapse. My appetite is completely gone. I'm really worried about developing serotonin syndrome. Pls help to maybe calm my nerves.

I also take xanax, cymbalta, buspar, seroquel. As well as Zoloft and Luvox

Hi hollydun I’m sorry to hear ure not well. I’m feeling much the same as you. I’m overthinking all the time, panicky, anxious and feel depersonalisation. I feel as though I’ve lost myself and feeling detached. I don’t know wether it’s due to side effects or to do with my anxiety. I’m trying to wean myself off the sertraline now and going back on my old tablets. Which r paroxatine. It’s just so scary feeling like this 🌹

Hi hollydun what is all ure other medication for?

They're for anxiety, GAD, OCD, ptsd, and panic disorder, I haven't taken my morning pills yet ( Luvox and cymbalta) bc the thought of serotonin syndrome terrifies me 😓

Did you just start the sertraline?

No I was on paroxatine for 171/2 yrs, then the doctor decided to change it to sertraline. I was on 50mgs for just over a week and then 100mgs now for the past 8wks. I’m really hoping that Cumming off it and going back on paroxatine. As it helped me in the past. Just hoping it works as good again🌹
