Sorry I seem to make so many posts haha. I was just wondering when you start taking sertraline is it normal for your anxiety symptoms to get worse before they get better
Hi Suzanne, definitely...I was worse for 3/4 weeks, it was a terrible time but it eventually settled
Yes absolutely. That is one of main complaints most people have when starting this drug.
Is it okay that your physical anxiety symptoms are worse at the start, I'm a major worrier haha, so far on day two and haven't had anything severe just feel like my physical anxiety symptoms are a bit worse I hope that's okay
I can deal with it, however it's just very unpleasant
Oh yeah... mine did. You'll have good days and bad days. I really noticed it wasnt for me tho after like a month. I switch to escitalopram and I've been happy on that. Any SSRI it takes 4-6 weeks to feel your best. Even after 6 months I felt a different kind of "better".
So you'd say it's normal for your physical symptoms to get worse as well before it gets better, haha I just worry a lot and need all reinsurance in the world I swear
I’ve been on it for a week and am so tired and nauseous, anxiety is up, did it make you feel sick?
100% .... your mind and body have to adjust to the meds... then if you need to increase slowly, you'll know. I knew 10mg of lexapro wasnt enough after 3 months on it. As soon as I increased, I felt like a new person. Just listen to your body and what you're feeling and if in 4 months you dont feel better, it might not be the meds for you. I went thru 3 different ones till I found my miracle drug...
Yes Hun perfectly normal x
Okay I hope so haha, I'm such a worrier honestly, haven't even had many extreme side effects just a few and I seem to think omg I'm dying all the time
I just increased from 150-200mg after a year at 150. I have also been having increased anxiety and fatigue. I’m about 3weeks in. I am hoping this is normal and that I start to feel better soon.
Hi Sharon,
I’ve also increased from 150-200 mg 2.5 weeks ago and feel increased anxiety and nausea, so I’m with you.
Have you joined the positiv Zoloft group on Facebook. It’s a great place with a lot of wonderful people.
