Setraline and propranolol

Hi just been to the docs today. I was hoping for the benzo route but after talking it through which i am glad. I,m upping my dose gradually on setraline and also been prescribed 10mg propranolol started already so here it goes. On the lower dose of propranolol to see if i,m ok not allergic etc. Then if ok will increase. 🤞🙏

Propranolol just slows your heart rate down, takes the edge off the phsical symptoms. They're not psychoactive like sertraline so they won't help with the actual treatment

To be fair it’s more for the anxiety spikes i always get it calms that down when if i get in situation we’re it kicks off my fight or flight setraline is the long term affect.

Good luck Brian, I find Propanalol very effective in calming down the effects of adrenalin which for me means shaking and feeling jittery, however the one drawback seems to be an increased sensitivity to it when they wear off! Might just be me though...

If i have to stay on it for a long time for now i will. Already took 3 today at the moment i,m on my night shift can sort of feel a bit of difference. Thoughts still come in but that rush not really kicking in. Thanks all for the feedback
