Hopefully somebody out there can help me!! I am on the verge of a nervouse breakdown over this!!! I had a Medtronic spine stim put in me in 2013! Every time I turned it on I got severe burning pain and it would swell up uncontrollably!! Finally on eighth week it exploded!! I ended up in hospital for six days!! After that I have that pain 24/7!! Can't do anything without suffering badly!! Saw all kinds of doctors and they said I needed to try another one!! Against my true feelings I was skeptical and ended up putting it in!! I couldn't even use it due to the severe crippling pain it caused!! Ended up taking it out and after three years of doctors they did an mri looking to see if it burned my spinal cord!! The do to told me that no burn on spinal cord and wants me to put in new nevro hf10 system wich I am worried about doing!! The pain is still 24/7!! Pain meds all day long and I still suffer badly!! I am looking for some kind of answers!! I don't know how much longer I can take the pain!! Does anyone know of anyone else that had or has this problem?? I am at my end here!! This is ruining every part of my life!! Lost most of my friends as back so bad I can't go any where!! Not even to dinner,cookout or any kind of event!! If any one reading this can help me with any kind of information I would be forever in your debt!! I don't know how much longer I can fight or put up with this pain!! Have you contacted the Medtronics help line? I will tell you the lead is not connected to the spinal cord exactly. It's hard to explain but i highly recommend that you try to have someone explain the complexity of this. A surgeon is not the best , you definitely need to talk to another representative of Medtronics. I have been working with 3 and now my forth representative is very compassionate and educational and he is actually the only person who is wanting to make sure he helps me.He has taken the time to explain the process and I also went directly to the corporate district management of the company in my area and things started to get real really fast moving in the best of direction, some of the representatives from Medtronics are WAY BETTER than others even though hey say they came from the same training. I have taken my Healthcare on my own and decided to dismiss the people who are not wanting to admit negligence on their part, I found someone who is competent. I also
would contact a malpractice attorney. Please don't give up. You literally just have to try and talk to anyone and everyone about this because it's going to get better if you put your mind to it. I can promise you I've been discouraged after 5 months of my surgery and I have only been experiencing vibration in my ribs therefore I didn't have the machine turned on turned on at all except for the last 2 weeks and that's because I found someone who actually was able to do a different program that was never done before. I have all the Hope in the world that it's going to do something for me or that the two doctors and the representative are going to figure it out they have the determination and willpower to want to figure it out and you have to find a doctor who is the same. I highly recommend that you do your research and try to get another opinion as soon as possible

They don't want me to know what really happened I'm convinced of that!! But your words of encouragement help more than you know!! I live everyday one day at a time!!
I can agree on that. I can tell you that I have lived in pure toxicity and outrageous human destruction. Two drunk drivers have rear-ended me after two back fusions and one that stated all of this when I was 20 yrs old. I'm 37 now. I' would like to keep in touch.
I'm very convinced that the Medtronics rep misguided my surgeon and no one will ever take responsibility for it. But I'll be sure to find a way to get all the compensation for the hell I live in. Are you on disability?

Yes I am on disability!! For 12 years now! It's been a living hell and now it's way worse!! I have been up since 1Am in the morning!!

When and where was it done. Do you have a paddle lead put in? I know that the majority of people who have problems with it is due to the lead migrating and the electrodes moving in between the epidural space causing nerve impingement and damage. I have a paddle lead vs a percutaneous lead which is more stable and less likely to move in any way. Luckily it hasnt. Do you know what your trial xrays look like vs the Surgerical xray and operative reports and how it looks or lines up. You should be consistent with obtaining every documentation for each and every office visit and program data. I have mine.
Have you been told any information at all?
I know that the first doctor is refusing to release his office records to my attorney!! Nor will they return the machine they removed wich I own!!
It's like a big secret over here!! I don't get it but I know I suffer so badly!! I am miserable all day everyday with or without the meds!!

It's against HIPPA regulations, you are entitled to your medical records. You can also obtain information from yo ur insurance company. I would be questioning why your Attorney can not get your records. I believe if you have a lawsuit against tbis, its time sensitive and by law have to release the records. Did the Medtronics rep take the device or the surgeon? Where do you live, in the US?
After they put it in everytjme I turned it on I was swollen so bad around inversion site that I had to shut off and was finished for day!! Pain was unbelievable !! My so called doctor told me my body was trying to reject it and to still use everyday!! After seven weeks of this hell my back finally exploded!! Ended up in hospital for six days for infection!! I have never been the same!!
Live in USA and the doctor took it out and I was still out of it and he sent me home! Have requested but he won't send!! The lawsuit is in the works!

And it's hard to get a lawsuit here in Massachussetts for some reason!! Need a doctor to testify and it's almost impossible to get another mass doctor to go against another mass doctor!! It's stupid!!
Yes all other doctors sent there records!! Saying possable burn or burns on spinal cord!
I don't have any of the X-rays or records! Lawyer has all of them except the doctor who isn't sending anything!! I would appreciate any help you can give!
