Severe nausea for 2 years

I’m not sure what’s wrong with me but I’m 20 years old and I’ve been suffering from severe nausea for 2 years now. At first I was like okay, it’s something I ate so let me try to eat better but the next day it happened again and it’s on going. I do not throw up, I wake up around 2 am and feel nauseous and panic of course because I have a fear of it. I usually stay awake not because I choose to but because my symptoms won’t let me sleep for 5 hours until I can’t take it. It’s absolutley horrible.

Three days ago me and my boyfriend drove from MA to Florida and I was fine besides the lack of sleep. We got a hotel and here it goes all over again, I woke up 2 am nauseous and gagging but not vomiting. The only thing different this time is it’s been three days and usually I feel better in the mornings, this time I do not. I am nauseous from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed. Last night I woke up at 1 am which was wearing its always 2 or three and not only was I nauseous but I had THE WORST CRAMPS ever, they would come and go. I even thought about heading to the emergency room but I stuck it out and took some pepto bismol. I’ve been taking that 2 times a day for these past three days.. I’m not sure what this is but it is absolutely horrible. I and having a miserable time. Like I get it sometimes it happens because of anxiety or before finals or something stressful but I am stress free and I’m seriously scared.

Tonight I am eating some pretzels before bed only because I am so scared this will happen again.

Oh and I’ve take a pregnancy test and I’m not pregnant.

You need gallbladder out. I went through about the same thing you are going threw. Sick at bedtime bad time no sleep. Wake up feeling sick very nauseous. Can't and don't want to eat at because might get sick. Finally had taken out 6 months ago no more nausea thank GOD. Can eat low fat I can eat again. Yes. Have your gallbladder checked out. If you have stones consider the surgery. Good Luck hope you get some peace soon. 😎

Do your cramps move about your stomach and do you have change of bowel habit? If so, it could be IBS.  Nausea is an IBS symptom as well as come and go stomach pain.

Maybe try a food diary. It sounds like stress is linked to your symptoms since you say anxiety brings it on. Stress can also trigger IBS.; it set my IBS off. Feeling worried about your symptoms can also trigger nausea.

I would definitely see your doctor since your nausea has gone on for two years.
