I'm 21 had the gallbladder out last year, had an endoscopy after that when pain didn't settle down, they found a hernia, acid and h.pylori. Took antibiotics and the retested after i still had pain and found it was gone.
They diagnosed me with ibs. I have chronic constipation and nothing i take helps but the pain feels too sever for this.
I'm so tired of this. I press in the center of my stomach when I feel the pain out my back and feel it severly there. Othertimes the pain will shift and move down slightly or over to my right side or lower left side.
No one believes the pain I'm in because I'm functioning but I'm so tired of this I just want it to stop. I don't want to die but everyday it feels like whatever is inside of me is going to kill me that day.
I can completely relate the pain I have is on my left side. It is directly parallel to my belly button. It will sometimes just ache or when it gets worse it will hurt all the way from my belly button around to my back.
I was diagnosed with Crohn's about 7 years ago, but no matter what they would give me it has never helped.
They diagnosed me with Lupus 3 years ago but still nothing they have done has helped. I am completely frustrated like you. I would love to know what is wrong and I would love to not be in pain daily.
Gallbladder removal can trigger IBS which causes bowel habit change, shifting stomach pain, nausea and back pain. IBS pain can be very, severe indeed. I have been crouched on the bathroom floor with IBS pain and it has made me feel sick. Sometimes, I haven’t known where to put myself because of the pain. My brother had IBS and he ended up in bed regularly with the pain. Accept your diagnosis of IBS and ask your doctor for an antispasmodic. You may have to try several. I am on Buscopan and I sometimes take Nurofen which works for me. Try a food diary or the Low Fodmap diet to identify food triggers. Try lots of fruit such as oranges, or prune juice for constipation or a short term laxative. This has also helped me. Try not to worry because anxiety will make IBS worse. Try distraction techniques such as a hobby or very light exercise such as walking.
