Severe pain on inner side of knee...worried

I had TKR nine days ago and the overall pain has eased but I still have a hot, burning pain, which is constant, on the inner edge of the knee close to the kneecap. Painkillers don't touch it. It is worse today and I'm now getting worried.

Has anyone else had this sort of constant pain and will it ease eventually?

Hi Saralice.

You are the same as myself. Yes I have that pain and worse on exercise. It sometimes becomes sharp and makes me jump with the pain. But it's always there.

Hope that makes you feel better. X X X

How far along are you Jackie? It's good to know that it's not just me. Thank you.

Oh! I remember now. We are both at the same stage of this knee journey. Does your bed look like it's been hit by an earthquake in the middle of the night? I push pillows all over the place, throw bedclothes off my feet because they are so hot with the compression stockings, knock my water over on the bedside table all because I am trying to find a less painful position to try and get some sleep.I'm(almost) sure we will get there in the end.

Lots of lovely people on here really give me encouragement.

Im 5wk into my tkr and ive been ok up until tonite.i have a realy bad burning sensation at the kneecap .anyone any ideas.im still on painkillers ,ice pack, excercise and elevation.xx

I had my op on 22/7. So that makes me day 10. Yes my bed looks the same. We have changed the sheets tonight and I have spilt juice on it already. It's become my best friend. I only feel well when I am lying on it all comfortable. X X X X

I had some Aloe Vera gel in the fridge and rubbed some  on the burning. I then made an Aloe Vera compress with tissues and left it on a while. It  really helped me.

These past two days I have left my bed after lunch and sat in the lounge, padded with pillows. I'm more comfortable in bed but I get a different view from  the lounge  window.I've had a lot of visitors today and now I'm  really tired.

Off to bed( my best friend) now.I just hope I can get comfy and get at least a couple of hours sleep before I have to get comfy again.

I have been having that, but not constantly. It's just incredibly tender to the touch. My surgeon said that typically that area is very sensitive. It feels like it's slowly improving. I am 3 weeks out
