Severe pelvic pain with period a few months after stopping the pill

Hello,
Was hoping to get some insight as I’m not sure what’s common or “normal”.
I have been off the birth control pill for a few months now and have been trying to conceive since February. My period is irregular and the past 3 periods have come with very intense abdominal pain, feeling like it’s coming from my gastrointestinal tract. It hurts to pass gas and very much for stool and it hurts to sit and sometimes walk. Mostly at the beginning of the period then subsides after a couple days. As I was on the pill for many years and recently stopped taking it, I am wondering if this could just be the norm of my period and was lessened by the pill? Does this sound like something I should get checked out?
My last period was only 3 days long. I have had spotting for the few days leading up to my periods the past few times, assuming it was implantation bleeding, but it appears I am not pregnant based on “Easy @ Home” tests strips.
TIA.

hi dear,
I must assure you that I have the same problem (from time to time) not always but mostly when I feel cold during the first three days of my period. hence, covering up, wearing socks and applying hot water bottle to the belly area eases the pain.
I am not on the pill but still experience that type of pain, i know a couple of lady friends who experienced the same thing.
I hope this helped, however, since you’re trying to conceive I would ask a gyno and check to make everything is fine.
good luck.
