I just read all severe side effects for zoloft and I'm experiencing every other one. Severe vertigo is the worst of them. It says see doctor right away but I can barely move without getting sick. What do I do? What are the Dr's going to do for me?
Hi Ah15,
Thanks for posting,
The Doctors could prescribe a benzodiazepine short term or switch you to another SSRI.
With side effects, we are all different,
I hope you feel better soon!
How long have you been taking this? I was the same when I first started. I'm now on 6 weeks and sleep back to normal and appetite back to normal. Just the odd headache. If you've only just started taking, give it a bit longer to kick in
I feel the same way I started Zoloft 16 days ago and upped the dose once over that time and feel sick to my stomach. I can barely function at work and getting through the day is really tough. I also can not sleep through the night I wake at 3am and I am unable to get back to sleep. Does this get any better?
It does get better. I'm starting to see the benefits. I know when I would usually be having a panic attack because I get chest pains and a head ache but no panic. I can cope with it because it's so much better than getting into a state
I have seen my panic attack get less and less since starting, I think it is the sick feeling that I really need to go away. PLus the sleeping I really want a good nights sleep like I used to have.
I felt sick for a while and stopped eating. But from forcing myself to eat it made me feel better. Now my appetite is fine. I still have some bad nights sleep but mostly in ok. Maybe you would be better with a lower dose?
I am on a low dose I think I am just sensitive to medication. I just need to keep in the back of my mind that this will get better. I keep thinking maybe it is something else causing all the problems and not the medication but I think I truly know it is just the effects of the medications. My thoughts are still all over the place currently and I am supposed to up my dose tomorrow but I am little nervous to do it with all the side effects I already have.
