I was diagnosed with hsv2 9 days ago the sores have all healed up and I was feeling great with no symptoms I thought it was ok to try having sex with my long term boyfriend but it hurt so bad! After the initial sticking it in part it got better. We used lubercation. Does anyone know if this will get better? I really hope my sex life can become normal again..
The first time after the outbreak hurts....it will get better. Have him go slow right now.
It does get better I promise , I never had any pains / issues or nothing .
I actually had sex during an active break out And some odd reason it didn't hurt .
But that's just me .

It does get better , I don't think we even used lubrication at all . I can honestly admit and say the Main issue I had after my break out was getting wet / lubricated without anything .. I was scared that it was affecting me..

I really hope so. I had no sores at all on the outside but now I'm wondering if I had any on the inside. My first outbreak was not bad and healed up fairly quickly compared to other stories. I guess maybe I should have waited longer? Now I'm worried ill have this issue with sex..
You're very lucky youe firsr outbreak wasn't bad. I waited about 3 weeks to have sex again. I noticed after we did, that I had a little cut like thing near my hole. I'm still itchy. Your fortunate. Just take it easy and slow for now. I'm sure you'll be ok girl.
We are pretty sure he does. He hasn't had an outbreak but is going to get blood work tomorrow. He's been such a trooper through everything and is more upset about the weight then anything it seems. Your lucky. I think maybe I did it to soon I've inly been symptom free for 2 days. I really hope it gets better I'm on the suppressive therapy antivirals.
Suppressive medicine is a good thing .
I'm scared to get on it because I currently don't have any insurance and I don't know how much it would cost out of pocket . How much does it cost ?
My ex boyfriend got tested 3 times and he has came negative in all of it .
And we had sex unprotected twice I think during an active breakout and everything

Yeah girl insurance helps! It's like 30$ for a 90 day supply with and like 250-300 with out.
Idk where i got it honestly ive been with my boyfriend for 4 months now and I just now got an outbreak..
I thought I had a yeast infection for a couple days and one day like 3 days before my gyno apt I looked down there with my front camera lol and I saw a little bump right by the opening. I tried to convince myself that it was just a blister from friction or something and they the next day it hurt so bad and I looked that day at work and there was like 3 or 4 more. I left work and went straight to the doctor because I knew.. I started the valacyclovir that day and she took a sample from a sore to test. The next 3 day after that were absolutely awful. It hurt to stand, walk, laugh, I literally sat in bed for 4 days. But the 6th or 7th day I finally stared to feel better yesterday I was perfect and today I was too that's why I thought maybe sex was a go.. But nope lol

I'm hoping I can control this.

Yeah idk how to tell if I had any inside. So your sex is normal again? I'm on valacyclovir once a day I really hope it works. We got this! I want to have babies and live a normal life I know I can.. Are you in a relationship?
Sex is normal. No, not in a relationship. So I don't have it often lol 😂😂

Hi! I contracted this In June and had awful outbreaks ! I was worrying all the time about how its going to affect future relationships I was so depressed. But luckily I found an amazing guy who accepts me for what I have and it doesn't bother him in the slightest! ... I take acyclovir twice daily and I am on suppressives for around 4 months going to take it for 6 and see how things go from there... To begin with I was so self conscious and embarrassed about this but have to remember it is just a minor skin condition in a unfortunate place.
I'm so happy ATM! But I just worry abouT the future and having to have that talk with someone else who doesn't have it 😢
But for the mean time I'm good! It only gets better because! ☺️🤘🏼
