Hi all! Here I go again! I need some reassurance. I am almost 8 weeks out and have been doing well.
Occasionally I get what feels like a sharp pinching pain on the side of my hip. It lasts only a second or two. Do you think it's something to worry about?
Also I have yet to drive because when I try to move my leg inward (like trying to push brakes) I still have groin pain.
Is it just me?
Hi, don't think its anything to worry about, just healing process. I am just over 6 weeks post op and the other day I kept having stabbing pains around the scar which only lasted a day (think someone may have a voodoo doll of me and was sticking pins in lol).
I go to see my consultant tonight for my 6 weeks check and have had 2 sneaky drives down the road, which for me felt OK. Guess we all heal at different rates, so I'm sure it wont be long before you are in the driving seat again.
I was slow in being able to get my operated leg into bed without actually giving it a helping hand, but got there eventually.
Good luck and a speedy recovery to you xxx
hi...i echo what nadine says i'm 9 months down the line and i still get them stabbing pains....i did have trouble pushing the clutch in for quite a while so only did very short journeys for about six months so i don't think you have any worries just now....good luck...roy
I get pricking/stabbing sensations around the wound at 5 wks and occasional stabbing pain in the groin area. I was hoping that around the wound it was a sing of healing! In the groin I had the same pain before the op so assume its tendons etc.
I do still get occasional pins and needles in my lower leg - I don't know if anybody gets that - I wondered if it was because of the compression socks but it is only on the operated side.
