Hi Everyone
For the last week I've had sharp pain under my knee cap on a tkr that's 15 wks p/o.
Pain is most noticeable when I lay down. It's kept me up most of night even with a vicadin. What could this pain mean? My healing, walking, flexion and the other one- word escapes me- are all great.
Got me worried a bit.
Hi Elaine
Dont know what could be causing this. Sounds like nerve pain.
Hopefully Old Fat Guy will be able to help.
You would think you would be on the home straight at 15 weeks!
Sounds like a trip to doc is on the cards though.
Hopefully it is nothing too bad.
Fingers crossed for you.
Best wishes
Ann

Hey....me too..pain lost of sleep....is part of healing...ibid my surgery 1/28 is been brutal I cry a lot....then I take my oxytocin very six hours that helps....also icing...and massages....get well....Hang in there we got good days ahead
Sounds like nerve pain to me, too. Laying down puts pressure in different places to standing and sitting.
Thanks Ann Patsyrose and Luz and all for your thoughts and advice. All of you are very comforting to have. Will keep you posted.
Try sleeping with a pillow either under your knee if you sleep on your back or between your knees if you sleep on your side
Thank you, Sueisobel. That's a great idea. Will let you know tomorrow if it worked.
