Around 10 days ago I shaved my pubic area with what I now realise was a razor I had been using for a longer time than probably should have.
I had a red bump there almost immediately and over the next day or 2 this formed into a spot or pimple. it did pop, I think in the shower and scabbed over within a day.
About 5 days after initially shaving I noticed a bit more redness and a few more spots forming around the bigger one. a couple more days later there was a couple tiny spots with even smaller white heads formed and a sort of cluster closer towards my penis.
None of these popped to my knowledge however when I’m in the shower I do scrub the area thoroughly with non detergent soap.
Today it’s like this and from the pictures it actually looks worse than I thought. Don’t know if I want an HD camera anymore ha.
They are not hard to touch, there is no scabbing. if I put pressure on Theres a bit of discomfort the same way a spot on the face would feel if I pressed on that.
I have had zero symptoms typically associated with Herpes(except panic and dread). No pain, aches or tingly feeling, no flu like symptoms or discharge or painful urination. It felt a tad itchy in the morning a couple of times but very mild and I put that down to the underwear I had on during the night.
I was using aquaphor on it for a few days to see if that would heal the skin but haven’t for last day so I could have a better look. the aquaphor made it look all sweaty.
I am sexually active and have unprotected sex with a regular partner at the moment, however I have refrained since the initial spot scabbed over.
I know that albeit the chances are low that it is still possible to get it when a person is asymptomatic. I have never had any sexual contact with anyone who was having a visible outbreak. never had a cold sore etc.
At first I thought it would maybe be folliticus but unsure. I have never had any outbreak of herpes and typically if it’s your first one I’ve read there’s alot of obvious signs and alot of pain and discomfort.
I’ve been scanning these forums for a few days and when males typically get a outbreak it tends to be on the penis, testes or anus. I am aware however it can occur anywhere.
I am basically worried this is herpes and would like peoples opinions.
