September 26 I started having the horrible shingles pain on my left side, going from the back to the front. Went to the doctor on the 27th, was put on Valtrex (1000mg, 3x/day for 7 days), doctor found 5 sores at the time. I ended up with only 3 small clusters of sores, which have pretty much gone away by the time I finished the medicine. Finished the medicine the following Wednesday, and by Thursday morning, same pain only this time in my left arm. Made another doctor appointment, only to be told that I now have shingles developing in another dermatome in my body. So, another round of Valtrex (same dosage as before), no sores this time. I'm very tired, feel like I'm catching the flu. Has this happened to anyone? I'm still in pain from the first site, now having a second location is even more discouraging...
J'ai été diagnostiqué avec le zona il y a environ 3 mois. Dans le dos jusqu'à la taille et le ventre. Je n'ai jamais eu d'éruption cutanée, mais une douleur brûlante. J'ai pris des antiviraux 3 fois, ça aide un moment mais les symptômes reviennent. C'est tellement frustrant. J'ai des symptômes grippaux comme un mal de tête, des nausées, je n'ai pas envie de manger. C'est misérable. Certaines personnes ont ce virus pendant des années. C'est juste bouleversant ! Ce n'est pas ainsi que je veux passer ma vieillesse !
J'ai eu de la fatigue et des symptômes grippaux les 5 à 10 premiers jours ....
This is definitely not fun. My pain is better, tolerable, but now I have a horrible cold. My doctor said my immune system is so low that I will probably catch everything headed my way this winter... Not fun with 5 kids still living at home

Désolé de l'apprendre ! Je dis à mes enfants et petits-enfants de rester à l'écart si vous êtes malade ! J'ai assez de problèmes ! Lol ! J'ai encore des brûlures horribles, pas trop de douleur. Mais c'est un vrai casse-tête de s'habiller ! Je n'aurais jamais pensé devoir traverser cela dans mes années plus tardives.
