Shock feelings in my toes and fingers

It's been 4 weeks since I have been on sertraline. I noticed my intrusive thoughts have calmed but in the past few days I have been really sad because the shock feeling in my toes and fingers is persistent and my anxiety is still there. I thought I was doing better but now I just don't know. I feel helpless. Has anyone felt these sensations?

I never felt anything like that, but anxiety never left. Also my ears ring. What a lovely drug😒 Hope you feel better tomorrow

You stopped the drug, right?

I've been on sertraline 6 weeks now. The anxiety persisted until about week 4 but for the past 2 weeks I've hardly had any and feel pretty good most of the time. So it does take time, but if you have other side effects that are bothering you then go back to your GP. Why not make an appointment now, by the time you are seen you'll know if the anxiety has improved and can discuss whether you should either increase the dose or switch to something else.

Hi Tree.

Yes I have funny sensations in my hands and legs.

iv been on them for 11 weeks and Iv got a doctors aptment on the 5th of May.

couldnt get an earlier appointment, but my anxiety has halved but I have a lot of lingering side effects so I'm going to see if I can switch.

It is still early days for you, but if it's bothering you that much don't suffer in silence go back to your GP, one A/D may suit one person but not another.

good luck i know how your feeling

Could you contemplate using St John's Whort as you are 'off' chemicals?

It may help, as will Hypnotherapy or maybe Acupuncture?

All the best and congratulations for leaving this shi##y drug behind.

I'm not off the drug? I'm taking 200mg at the moment

Oh sorry, you are 4 weeks in and counting. Stick at it as I am almost 4 weeks in and having more and more better hours. I have other conditions and am always worse when I feel poorly and can't make myself get out. However, when I'm feeling Ok I make myself get out and walk or cycle fairly vigoursly.

It will get better and the odd and weird side effect still happens; with me it is twitching legs.

Just starting to decrease, only on third day of 37.5. Have to come off very slowly.
