I've been having these shock like pain in my right knee, mainly happens when i do leg lifts or if my left knee slightly touches the right knee.
I've tried using my hand to find out the problem but can't.
and also the right knee sometimes makes a pop sound like cracking your fingers, the medical people at my football club have said i might not have any ACL but im in no pain so any ideas what else it could?
When you walk on it do you get a shooting pain and does it feel weak to walk on it. Bev
I don't get any pain when walking on it, and doesn't feel weak either. They have felt the same for years besides the shock pain and popping sounds
Mm, best if you go to your GP and ask for a MRI scan to show up what is going on as an x ray won't show up soft tissue damage. I was left for 3 months until I had a scan which was a torn cartilage which locked my knee. Mine was just popping but was weak to walk on in the beginning . I think you need to sort this one out Chris. Ask your GP if you can be referred to a knee specialist (consultant)
If GP suggests a cortisone injection this might help and also some physio.
