Shock treatment therapy for post op carpel tunnel problems

Hi has anyone had experience of shock wave therapy for post op problems with carpel tunnel. I am 14 weeks after op and have slight swelling and a lot of tenderness when I use my hand. I am seeing my surgeon this week and when I last saw him he said it was slight pillar pain. Saw him 2 months ago. It is now worse and wonder if it's scar tissue and adhesions as is also hard. Any thoughts much appreciated. Ali

Who mentioned Shock Treatments and what kind    I had both hands done and it is 1yr and 4 mos after the surgery and my hands are still numb and my fingers also feel like little sausages I wish I never had the surgery

No one has mentioned it to me I have been researching  it. There have been good results with this treatment for some things but don't know about CTS which is why I have posted this question. Why don't you return to your surgeon as your symptoms surely shouldn't be left alone?  Good luck with that. I will post if anything useful after seeing my surgeon this week.

I have been to the dr. he had more nerve test done, which said left hand was any better and right hand was worse. he also gave me shots in each hand, that diden't work either andthen he said maybe I should have a revision surgery.  Which I am not to fond of as if the lst surgery diden't work and what makes him think this one will.  So here I sit

Well, I had CTS a little over two weeks ago.  My surgeon conveniently forgot to tell me about the possibility of pillar pain.  My pain is worse than it was with the carpal tunnel.  That pain was usually just overnight where this is ALL the time!!!!!!!!!!  My hand throbs on either side of the incision and now the pain is moving up my arm in two places, on either side of the incision.  He asked me when I want to schedule my other hand and my answer is NEVER.  Had he been upfront with me, honest and told me about pillar pain and the severity of it, though I know he thinks I'm exaggerating how I feel now I never would have had the surgery.  I would have found other alternatives though Lord knows I'd already tried almost everything but that was better than this is.  My right hand is almost useless and I am right handed, though I can use my left hand for a few things.  Instead of getting stronger as time passes, it's getting worse.  I'm starting to lose my ability to hold a cup of coffee, pick up a box and picking up the smallest of things like a piece of paper or nail file are becoming impossible.  I can't do anything that puts any pressure on my fingers because the pain is too great.  What you said about pulling up pants, putting on socks, hell, even putting on a coat is difficult.  My surgeon not only chose not to tell me about this possibility before surgery but he denied that what I was experiencing was real until two full weeks after surgery even though I had been telling him what I was feeling two days post surgery.  I'm angry, in pain and I need answers. I've read about the shock therapy and looking into it with my insurance to see if it's covered.  If it's not I guess I'm just screwed and have to live with this pain for the coming months, years, or God forbid forever.
