So my bodies finally getting used to Celexa and it’s been about 6 weeks. Falling asleep tonight I have a terrible tension headache and every time I try falling asleep I get a weird tingly/shocking sensation and it’s really uncomfortable. I also get super disconnected falling asleep. Anyone have any similiarities?
Shocking where? When I get migraines/headaches I sometimes feel like it is a zap. I also sometimes get tingly, sometimes I feel hot. Anxiety is weird that way... always different worries.
It’s usually in my head to my arms, it’s really uncomfortable and makes me feel weird. I have no idea how to explain it. Like my emotions kind of turn off I haven’t dealt with it in a week though so that’s why I was confused.
Could be a side effect of the medication as well. I know someone who said Prozac gave them zaps in their head.
Does that mean I need to switch you think? I mean it’s been 6 weeks so I’m unsure
I’m pretty medication resistant so I don’t know much on the prescription side of things. Consult with your doctor to see if they think you should switch. If it’s that bothersome mention it to your doctor.
I see you say you are med resistant, consult has more or less told me that too and has said he doesnt know what else to try. Meantime i am ok but still down and anxious.
Did you find anything to help you?
I have my low moments, anxoety attack’s, health anxiety and worry but I manage on my own ok for now. I find that, whenever I’m feeling well enough, I excercise and that helps. I try supplements to help my body out as much as possible. Talking to people helps... I miss the days when I just didn’t care but I’ve learned to accept my difference for the most part and try to stop comparing myself. Accepting that I’m not in immediate danger and surrounding myself with people or having contacts that make sure I feel safe have helped.
