Shortness of breath everyday :(

For the past week everyday I have been having a shortness of breath which is often a feeling like a pressure on my chest but often times it’s like I’m controlling my breathing and it doesn’t feel right which then makes me quite lightheaded...anyone else ever go through this? It sucks and I’m miserable :(

If you take a look at my posts I was going through it with this “controlling my breathing” thing for almost an entire year I was convinced my body couldn’t breathe on its own, it was the most worst time of my life I was never that depressed before.. It all started with chest tightness and boom I was aware of my breathing after a while I got real bad chest tightness due to the fact when you control your breathing for a period of time it labors your original breathing pattern, your body isn’t use to that breathing pattern so it takes a toll on those muscles

yes i also have had this inthe past ,my anxiety has reared it,s ugly head again after a good couple of years andi am just starting with that breathing problem with tight chest again , i do the remember that feeling when you try to breath for yourself and is is horrible but i did get over it last time and i will again and so will you ,me personally i tried to avoid any deep breathing to calm me down as it didn,t work for me ,i know that is the recommended thing to do and you must do what suits you as i know it works for many people ,good luck i know it is the hardest thing to do when your mind is racing but try to distract yourself and you will find your breathing levels out

I know, it really sucks. I get this regularly too and feel like I’m choking. Sometimes I try to take deep breaths but I find it helps more to do something else and try to forget about it. Whether read, puzzles or listening to music. If I engage in something else my breathing becomes more natural again without me realising, most of the time. It’s still really scary though so I hope you feel better soon.

Certain medications may cause this as well as weakness and tiredness. Check with your doctor or pharmacist.

rule out anything with your Dr. if they don’t find anything then its most likely anxiety. if you look on here, this symptom comes up constantly so you know it probably goes hand in hand with anxiety. When I lost my mom I hyperventilated for 3 months and lost normal functioning. I had to start medication to help. talk to ur Dr to see what help they can offer you. I wish you the very best!

That’s what I was having, resulting in panic attack of heart issue
I kept checking my heart rate over the phone applications.

I had my heart checked, even got holter for a day and everything was fine.
Since then i got better, anxiety can cause things like that.
Trust me.

and i think whats making it worse is that its so so hot anf humid here in mexico and im sensitive to heat and that makes me feel tired and lightheaded too. does that ever happen to you?
