Hi! I have posted a couple of times on here about my anxiety, but it seems as though my shortness of breath has gotten worse. I will just be watching TV on bed, and feeling like I have to catch my breath comes out of nowhere. I do not feel stressed, or anxious when this happens. I am beginning to think it's something else. How can I be sure? I had blood work done a few times, and my Dr. said that I have high levels of bilirubin. Nothing having to do with my heart! This is becoming so frustrating!!
Anxiety can certainly cause shortness of breath. I was going through marital problems 30 years ago and I experienced several episodes of shortness of breath. It got so bad one night I went to Emergency at a local hospital. Turned out to be just stress.
I won't comment on the medical information you provided as I am not a physician, but if you want to put your fears to rest than schedule an appointment with your family physician and tell him EVERYTHING that is bothering you now. You don't have to be worrying at the precise time you have the breathing issues for it to be related to anxiety, you might be subliminally feeling stress. Good luck.
Thank you!
