Shortness of Breath

Hi everyone I've been experiencing shortness of breath almost every single day sense may 2017 after a panic attack. Ever sense then the shortness of breath doesn't seem to go away. I constantly have to take deep breathing throughout the whole day because I feel short of breath like if I'm not getting that full satisfaction when I breath. Not sure what the problem is sense i did have numerous tests done including an Xray of lungs and heart EKG Echocardiogram (ultrasound of heart) ,Stress Test,Blood Tests, Pulmonary Function Test and They all came out Normal according to my doctors. So they think it may be Anxiety causing the Shortness of Breath. I tried using an inhaler and doesnt do much effect.

Current medications are

Propranolol 20mg

Citalopram 40mg (been on 3months)

Gabapentin 300mg

My doctor took me off the albuterol inhaler and montalukast sense she think its not asthma related.

Millions of people including myself have that same issue with breath. It is one of the most common symptoms of anxiety.

The only way to relieve it is by relaxing the brain which in turn will relax the body. The more you think about it the worse it will get.

something I do a couple times a day is listen to the meditations for anxiety, breathing, depression etc. found on YouTube. They completely relax my mind and body and my breathing becomes much easier.

Mindfulness teacheS  us to focus on our breathing when we're feeling anxious. There is a proper breathing technique you can find on YouTube called 10 minute breath meditation.  It will calm you down as well as your breathing .

 hope you feel better 🌸🌸🌸

Is it your own inhaler? If not then you shouldn't be using it. If so and it doesn't help, that along with tests coming back clear then it's anxiety as your drs suggest
