I get a sensation of a tightness in my throat when i walk especially across campus at school and when going up hills. I feel like i need to breath heavy because i get a weird feeling in my throat. It actually gets better when i run though. Everyone says it's anxiety but how could that be if it only seems to occur with mild exertion. I went to a doctor before i noticed the shortness of breath and only had palpitations and i got a normal EKG/ECG and my doctor said i was fine. Please help me out. I am afraid i have a serious heart arrythmia disorder like long qt. Please help me thanks
You're perfectly healthy. I used to get this feeling as well, it felt like there was a lump in my throat and I couldn't breathe, along with shortness of breath. Just know that you are fine, and if you feel it happening more frequently, go back to your doctor and ask them if there's anything you can do to prevent this from happening. I would just drink lots of water and wait for it to pass. If it becomes an annoyance though, speak to your doctor again. Just remember you're healthy, don't panic over nothing, this will pass. You mentioned that running can help with this, so run when you can. Good luck and take care. x
Also, I did get shortness of breath from my anxiety disorder.
