shortness of breath

Hi.. so recently I’ve had this thing where I can’t catch my breath, and it only happens when I concentrate on it. And it gets better when I lay down. But sometimes it gets so bad that I can’t catch my breath and I get super scared. Sometimes it hurts when I breathe, like In my back and around my sides. I had several tests ran on my heart in february. I had 2 echos, 3 ekgs, and a chest X-ray. All came back normal. I had several blood tests in July and all came back normal. I’m so scared of dying or having a heart attack. I’m only 15, never smoked or drank, healthy, and I don’t have a great diet. Does this sound like anxiety??? It gets better when I lay down, and it seems to go away when I don’t think about it, but as soon as I realize I’m not thinking about it, it comes back.

Hi Shelby

I have shortness of breath all the time . Is a symptoms of anxiety which could change to hyperventilating. You just need to breath slowly through your nose . Find a quiet place, sit down and count your breathing . Are you on any medication ?

Only happens when you concentrate on it and goes away when you don't think about it? 100% anxiety.
