ok so after seeing my doctor and being examined , he thinks my swollen gland is infact my salivor gland and it could be blocked as iv'e been through 250g and 500g anti bi's and is to date only really going down a bit 4weeks after i noticed it. so my blood tests came back ok the doc said but i have slightly high colestrial im 29 but it runs in the family so thats ok, BUT this is where im worried because at the previous first appointment we arranged for a blood test but when i see my doc to hear the results 'apparently' now i should be recieving a scan date through the post as if it was already discussed? but it has never been mentioned about a scan untill i went for my blood results. So obviously my doc got the results before me and booked me a scan and told me everythings ok? can he do this or is this standard procedure to double check what the blood test already shows or is he reasuring me everythings ok but he is actually worried about something? please any help thanks.

iv'e just recieved my scan date for the 13th of febuary so it's stupid because if i have nothing serious besides infection then chances are i'll be better by the time i have the scan but if i have something serious then i'd probably be dead by my scan date it's so slow 
anyway i'm feeling alot better , have been off my anti-biotics for several weeks , even though my gland still was swollen when i finished them it has now gone down by about 80% BUT it wasn't noticable before it swelled up so i might just be paranoid where i keep checking it or feeling it whereas i didn't before. To me it feels firm or rubbery compared to my other on the opposite side but again it might be where im feeling it alot more and thing's seem bigger or differant texture the more you feel. I'll post when my result's are back.
