Hi all. I had an ovarian cyst measuring 7cm 2 years ago on my right ovary and had keyhole surgery in sept 2015, they couldn't remove it as when they went in it was grabbing on to my ovary and they said they would have had to take the ovary so they drained it. But the pain never left and shortly after in my follow up i discovered i had another cyst again on the right ovary, i had an ultrasound on tuesday and it is measuring 8.5cm, It is pushing my uterus and my bladder as it is so big which is causing pain and also needing to go to the toilet alot . If i go ahead and have surgery to remove this cyst there is a good chance they will remove my Ovary and i just find that really scary as im only 25 and have no kids yet. So do i get it removed or leave it there? i have my appointment with my Gyna on the 3rd October and he will be eager to know whether im having surgery or not. Thanks in advance.
Que vous fassiez enlever le kyste/ovaire dépend de vous et de votre médecin, mais je vais vous dire, à l'âge de 28 ans, j'ai fait enlever mon ovaire gauche en raison d'un énorme kyste dermoïde. Cela n'a pas affecté ma fertilité d'avoir un seul ovaire. J'ai eu des cycles complètement normaux (j'ai maintenant 35 ans) et j'ai été enceinte avec le kyste et après avoir fait enlever le kyste/ovaire.
En fait, le dermoïde a été découvert pendant une césarienne et on m'a dit que cet ovaire ne fonctionnait probablement plus depuis des années.
De plus, il y a une chance que, en enlevant le kyste, ils n'aient pas à enlever tout l'ovaire et que vous puissiez en garder une partie. Même un petit morceau d'ovaire peut produire des ovules et des hormones !

Thats really good that you were still able to get pregnant after it!! 
Do you know what the percentage was when you were going for your surgery if they would take the ovary or not? I just don't know whether to leave it there or get it removed. It could be damaging the Uterus and Bladder if i leave it in but then again it might stay there and be ok.
My gyna is really good but he doesn't give me much advise whether to take it out or leave it there because i guess it wasnt doing much harm then but now its pushing everything out of the way.
Je ne connais pas le pourcentage car nous ne savions pas qu'il était là jusqu'à ce que je sois au milieu de la césarienne ! Mais le mien était à peu près de la taille d'un pamplemousse, donc je ne pense pas qu'il y ait eu beaucoup d'espoir de sauver l'ovaire.
Le vôtre fait 8 cm, c'est ça ? Je pense qu'ils pourraient peut-être sauver au moins une partie de l'ovaire à cette taille.
J'ai en fait un kyste sur mon ovaire restant également, et j'ai choisi de le laisser pour l'instant, selon les conseils de mon endocrinologue reproductive. Le mien n'est pas très gros pour le moment, mais je le ferai enlever une fois que j'aurai un enfant de plus.
Je dirais que si votre kyste pousse les organes dans votre corps, vous pourriez envisager de le faire enlever. Surtout puisque vous avez un autre ovaire sain. Mais c'est évidemment votre choix !

I think the same, the ovary might not be in a good condition now after having a cyst on it for 2 years messing it around!!
