Should I go back on my evoril conte patches

Hi there I had a scan yesterday because the dr was worried about my breakthrough bleeding and my lining is still thin so it's fine, I'm now wondering whether to go back on the evoril conte and have periods even though I hadn't had periods for 2 years before all of this, especially as my body had naturally stopped and then the patches started me having breakthrough bleeding, would anyone have any suggestion, I asked my dr. Jay about the one that you are on and he said to me thats used more when you have vaginal dryness, so again. I don't know what to do help?

glad the scan went well what a relief .. lining still thin .. Good news ..

yea the Ovestin Estriol vaginal cream is for vaginal dryness and plumps things up in there, so the vaginal walls dont get thin and tear.. Ooooch 

Estriol is a kinder Estrogen but i still only use half the amount and only once a week.

havent started using it as anti wrinkle face cream yet 😃 some do...

i havent ever had HRT so I cant help you on your decision .. It is what ever you feel is right for you hun..

i do think patches are the best option though if you want HRT as its transdermal and not through the liver like tablets.. and its not that nasty premarin, premique or prempak thats made of pregnant mares urine ... 😳

Hi Louise,

I am using the same HRT as you are which is meant to cause a monthly bleed (I was still having periods when I was put on it so this was the correct one for me).  If you are post Meno and havent had a bleed for at least 12 months then perhaps you should ask your GP for a patch that doesnt give you this break through bleeding. 

Glad all was well at your scan though. I still believe your break through bleed as you were calling it was in fact doing its job for the type of HRT you were prescribed as it should always give you a monthly bleed (not a real period).

Thanks Joy, I thought that too but my dr said because of my breakthrough bleeding maybe I should go on one that gives me a period so I'm very confused, hugs to you too x
