Should I go to the doctors?

i have a really sore throat. it started with that and flu like symptoms leaving me stuck in bed. then it just went to my chest, a cough is starting and my voice is slowly going. the top of my throat isnt hurting nearly as much as the bottom. i dont want to waste a doctors time.. what should i do?

it’s a type of mouth infection, I went to see a doctor today and he said it was a mouth infection and prescribed some drugs and mouthwash for me
