Should I increase?

Hey you all, so yes im on my 16th week of 50 mg sertraline, and it did helped a lot.

I mean A LOT. It helped me to be functional again. I can't remember tho what i felt from the very first start i started this med, that was too severe. Although, i am better than i was months ago.

Last 3 weeks ago, I remember that night where i was coming home from school and feeling okay kinda like my old self, and in fact i forgot to take my tablet (although i remember it so i took it anyway because missing a tablet might cause problems) and that was shortlived because i woke up like back on what is usually normal, it was okay tho as i am assured that sertraline's for me

These past few days, i feel kinda low and the fatigue sucks plus the head pressures. I am so surprised how strong I am lol. Should I increase? I have heard that 100mg helps a lot to recover, as i really want to get my life back. Slowly but surely tho.

Question is should I increase? I don't know, I don't want to make my own decisions and I want to follow my psychiatrist who really cares for me. Our next session will be on the 1st week of october.

Any advice or suggestions? thank you guys!

Hi, for what it’s worth, I was also on Sert 50mg for about 4months, with a very good response.

I have recently increased to 75mg due a lingering morning anxiety.

My GP will review at 6wks.

Hi cure, I stayed on 50 for about 9-10 weeks with great results, but It didn’t totally knock out my anxiety so I increased to 100mg and know my anxiety is totally under control! Of course everyone is different. Good luck

I also was on 50 for 4 months then I increased to 100. It did make a difference, though I occasionally have a bad day here and there. I would let your doctor know before u increase. It sounds like your doctor listens to you which is fantastic. Hang in there its a slow process but eventually you will overcome.
