Hi, my brother recently got diagnosed with the flu and i think that caused me to get sick. I was tested for the flu today and it came back negative, but I have a small fever so they told me to take tamiflu because my brother likely exposed me. The problem is my brother told me that medicene makes him violently puke, so i started reading the side effects and its all nausea and vomiting and diarrhea. Throwing up freaks me out because i havent done it in 10 years... should i take the tamiflu even though I dont have the flu? is it worth it? and is there anything i can do to reduce the side effects? thank you in advance..
last year my daughter and i had the flu and when we went to ER.. 3 different drs said they dont recommend it.. today my daughter did test for flu a and the NP said she doesnt recommemd it either.. im all for natural remedies so i bought the elderberry syrup .. its like tamiflu but its all natural .. i started both my kids on that.. the dr also told me that theres more side effects with rhe tamiflu than the actual flu but everybody is different… i took it about 6 years ago and had no sode effects but i wont let mt kids take it
Thanks for the advice. I ended up not taking it since i never caught the flu and bought elderberry syrup and ginger tea and took those together and already feel a lot better. My brother warned me about tamiflu several times so thanks a lot for your advice it really helped us both.
