Should I wait?

Hello,

I’ve been in pain for quite sometime now and been back and forth to the Doctors with it. Firstly I’ve been experiencing left kidney pain which is normal for me as I have Polycystic Kidney Disease so this pain isn’t really what’s worrying me even though it’s sore.

I’ve also been experiencing pain in my lower left abdomen right down into my pelvic area and lower. It’s absolutely horrible, it’s always there but then sometimes it gets so intense I have to lie down and admittedly cry until it passes. I experienced a tiny amount of very dark horrible blood 3 months ago instead of my usual heavy periods and have had NO bleeding since but intense cramping and pelvic pain. I’m also having trouble urinating, I feel the need to go constantly to the point where it’s sore but when I go it’s only a trickle.

Also, for a few weeks now my stools have been for lack of a better word, stringy and there has been blood.

After all of this I have finally been referred to Colorectamy and Gynaecology and have been waiting 7 weeks and still no appointment. I know it can take up to 12 weeks.

I’m getting worse as is the pain and tonight I’m very breathless. Should I just wait for my referral or go to AE? I’m absolutely exhausted and can’t keep going like this.

If it matters at all I’m 18 and a healthy weight.

My I kindly turn your interest and search to nutcracker phenomenon, that can be nutcracker syndrome and can cause pelvic congestion.

Please join e.g. fb groups specific for this syndrome and go from their doc lists to very specific specialists as most specialists and imaging do not know much about it.

Just to make sure, you do not have a squeezed left renal vein, causing dammed blood, that cannot be rerouted via collaterals fully well enough.

Non invasive, non painful flow velocity ultrasound can give good answers and MRI/CT good clues.

Best of luck!
