Is it possible to start having side effects months affter starting a medication? I am having severe stomach issues (exactly like I had on prozac) but they just started and I have been on 40mg of citalopram for over 3 months now...
It can happen. You've been on the meds for 3 months, but how long have you been on 40mg? If you've recently increased the dose It might be that, and could be the dose it a little high for you, or it might even be something totally unrelated to the meds. Have a word with your doctor if it continues, as a slight reduction may solve the issue?

Apart from the stomach issues is everything else OK. Is your depression improving or are there other side effects that are making life difficult?. Stomach upset is undoubtedly a side effect of Citalopram and what throws me is that such effects seem to crop up randomly, there being no predictable pattern. But as KathKat says it could be totally unrelated, the next day or so should answer that one.
Yh some of my side effects were delayed too
