Side effects and moods

I'm now coming to end of 1st 2 weeks on 50mg of sertaline and tbh not feeling much different.

Have been working thru the side effects at first the cramps were real nasty but managing to control them.

What I've noticed is that when I'm away from my personal environment eg home I feel like I'm putting a game face on and can cope slightly better yet this leaves me knackered so when I'm home I feel detached and unemotional and it's like I'm looking in from behind a screen.

I. Still getting nausea triggered from any lil thing and attacks happen quite frequently.

Most worrying though is I've started to muscle spasm and shake wen I'm really anxious and have started scratching myself aswell as this seems to settle me.

Is this a problem with anyone else

I have that scraching thing too. My back and feet itch so bad if I'm driving or walking I have to stop and pull over take my shoes and socks off its crazy. And sometimes it feels like something crawling thru my skin I know it sounds crazy but it just feel like i don't know worms or bugs just something in my skin. My feet feel like when I'm itching the itch is in my skin please don't think I'm crazy but its just what I feel. I hope u feel better.

I get it 100 % ya just claw at it till it stops, I get it mainly round my neck and face when I drive but watching my lil un do a gymnastics comp yesterday b4 I knew it n watching her routine I'd gone into my hand that on top of my arm from day b4.

It's proper nuts nut don't feel wrong.

Thank u 4 your reply and good luck

Hi Bigden. All the symptoms you are having will gradually ease off, in a week or so, the beginning of Sertraline is awful for most people, I didn't have same symptoms as you have, but my anxiety, low moods etc.etc.were horrific during the day, constant..... I was on 50 mg for over 4 weeks, my doc upped to 100 mg plus 10 mg of Amitryptiline morning and night to help me along. Sertraline works, I know, this is my third time, Be patient, the physical problems will disappear once the tabs start to work. Unfortunately for all of us, there is not the magic pill, which you take and instantly you are better, I wish....

All the best, keep going, and if you think is not working go to your GP, they help. Sometimes is a question of finding the right dose!....

Best of luck to you
