Morning all. Has anyone out there experienced any side effects of Candesartan? I won't mention anything specific.
Was taking 1 x 4mg tablet each evening for about 6 months following quad bypass op and would feel very light headed (too low BP?) in following morning. Now agreed with GP about 6 months ago to halve dose to 2 mg/day in evening and I certainly feel it is less of a problem. Otherwise no side effects to relate. Hope this is of some help. Roy
Thanks for this ,Roy. As they say in the Tesco ads "every little helps".
Was on 24mgs daily until February this year, reduced by Cardiologist to 12 mgs daily, due to postural BP drop on rising. All is fine now no side effects, it does help greatly.
Thank you , Jenny. I'm on 8 mgs daily & BP well controlled. Just have some aches & pains in my joints that I didn't have before. I've been on them for about 6 weeks.
Candersartan is way better than what I was on before, which was ramipril, interfered greatly with all that I did including work. I would go with Candersartan any day.
I took Ramipril too before Candersartan. Gave me a bad cough which is one of the more common side effects of this drug. GP said it was the NHS first choice because it is comparatively cheap but was more than willing to change it to C.
